CBG Konsult AB is a Swedish company, established in 1965, specialised in multilingual document management, which includes activities such as project management, technical translation, DTP and software development. Offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Brussels, Barcelona, Warsaw and Shanghai.

We are now seeking to appoint a Layout Checker in a full-time position at our local office in Warsaw. The preferred candidate will have an interest in languages and will be engaged to check and review multilingual documentation. A layout checker works under the supervision of a team leader.

Our requirements

We envisage that you have just completed your education and intend to embark upon a professional career or that you have already been working with similar tasks for some years. It is important that you have the ability to check features of documents according to document layout guidelines, although this does not require an understanding of the target language. Our working language is English so it is important that you can communicate effortlessly in English - knowledge of different EU languages is a plus. In addition you should be flexible and accurate and have no problems working with tight deadlines. We take for granted that you have a good knowledge of word-processing programs in the Windows environment and that you have working experience with document layout in Word etc.

Responsibilities

The work involves the checking and reviewing of documents written in different EU language. • the presence of all text from the manuscript in the page layout proof
• the typography
• the page layout against the original
• other document-specific features
